I pasted http://cid-86e8cd5b6c95b5e4.skydrive.live.com/s... to my browser address bar and it said 'Bad request'. Does the same work for you when you're logged out of skydrive?'
There's currently no way to do that, but that's a great idea and we'll research that!
Yes, Seeqpod we used to use for searching music went down. We swithced to Tagoo a couple of days ago, it should work now!

All the songs are hosted somewhere on the web on 3rd party websites, that's why some links do not work. We use 3rd party music search engine to perform searches. To post a song to Song.ly, just post URL to its mp3 to the edit box on our home page (the mp3 file must be hosted somewhere.)
I only have a one page archive now..and when I try to play the older tunes they say the files are no longer there. How many pages can be stored . I used to have 2..now I have one.
Cheers
and thanks
Thanks for pointing this out. Seems like a bug... Please allow us some time to investigate and fix this!

Why does Song.ly need information on the last Web site I visited?
How is the information on the last Web site I visited used by Song.ly?
Song.ly itself doesn't need this information. However, it seems like Tagoo - the 3rd party service we use for search - needs it.
(sorry for my english, i'll hope you understand what i mean ;-))
Thanks for pointing this out! This is definately something we have to do!
Thanks for the hint! Added to the todo list!
The direct link is shown when the user provides it via submitting it on the Song.ly homepage. However, if the song is found via our intergated music search, direct links are not shown as we use a 3rd party music search provider.
This is necessary so that when we post a song.ly link to Facebook, we get to choose a thumbnail that relates to the song. Currently the only choice is the song.ly logo, because that's the only image on the page.
Thanks for this pointing out!
Our search function is provided by a 3rd-party service provider, we've contacted them to find out the cause of this problem.

Also, do you share your Amazon revenue with users?
In your tweet template, I think you should switch the artist name first and place the link after.
Is there a way you can integrate the artists's actual twitter name in the tweet?
So if I click on an artist & they have a Twitter account, it will autmotaically formulate it with a mention to their name.
Just some thoughts.
I'm searching for the right program to share my music while I tweet. This seems more intuitive than blip.fm.
